Just for the fun of it!
These are the alien plants I am using in my Cliff scene. Standing on a Rune
Johansen grasstex lawn.

Needs more AA, but pretty interesting none the less.

More AA? No, I don't think so, AA is present here. What you see are the
textures of the different elements, I guess.

OK, well maybe it's just because the image is too small to see the
texturing properly then? IDK.

Either way, my original comment stands; it _is_ an interesting picture.
I kinda like it.

Thanks! Thanks! The scene is just a little playing around for the plants of
which I am rather satisfied (built in Silo, but could also have been Wings),
and the grass needs a little bit more tweaking, but that is secondary in
this image. The plants have a second development stage (after flying away to
the highlands) which I have still to do.

Reminds me of an ancient piece of CGI animation I once saw, with large
blunderbuss-like plants firing spores into outer space. Wouldn't want to be
ballooning while they're seeding!

Indeed!
These are more pacific. The lowland form float up to the highlands, where
they root and mutate into the highland form. They in turn, produce seeds
that float away on kind of parachutes (or maybe dandelion-like seeds) back
to the lowlands.
In time, I shall show the whole process.
