This image uses the wonderful cloud macros / utilities by Gilles Tran. It
took several days to render, though. This one has been adjusted in Gimp to
my liking.

Really shows how Gilles' contribution can be leveraged to make a great
image. For me the layering of the different cloud types and the
atmosphere along the horizon really steals the show but the model is
also great and the composition is effective. And I think Gilles always
appreciated a good airplane shot.

I wanted to clarify: not only does the scene use the macros / utilities by
Gilles Tran, the background here is one of the examples included with his
utilities.
I was in a hurry. It was blatant theft. :-) Well, in the header for the
example it does say: "Feel free to use and modify"!
