Since WIP 4, I have switched to megapov to take advantage of the better
radiosity controls. As a result, the wall texture has become different than
expected but still satisfying. One thing I would like your advice is the the
black spot that has appeared in the darker part of the background image.
This only appears with radiosity (megapov and v3.6).
The piece of meat/blubber, knife and blood was provided by Stefan Persson.
For the meat texture, I mixed a photograph of raw meat with another of
blubber. The result is quite nice I believe.

As always, comments and critical remarks are most welcome!!

Thomas

Getting better and better
I'd love to see an icicle drip down from the crack in the window.

Weee.. that stinks..

hehehe :)

It's coming along good, I think.
Like you said, your switch improved it so it
was a good choice. I love those frozen windows.
A very nice touch.
The only thing I might have an oppinion on is
the "floor" texture. I'm not sure.. but I think
the white spots in it are too bright. It looks
great when it's lit by the window but I'm not
so sure further in the room..

Cheers,
Stefan

PS The black spot.. I have no idea. Maybe it's the
mother of the whale you killed that's coming back
for revenge..

Thank you indeed Scott!
Excellent suggestion, the icicle. I am going to implement it.

Thank you indeed Stefan. I often forget to use megapov while it certainly
improves scenes tremendously for specific cases like radiosity.

Hmm... I don't know. I shall look into the controls of the image_map used
here...

Well, this at least seems to be linked to the amount of finish/diffuse. Too
little and black spots appear, but too high and the image is washed out.
Probably have to tune the strength of the light source too....
