Hello, all.
Been a while since I've done anything with POV, for one reason or another,
but now I've got the time again.
The attached is a work in progress I started today. About 20% done as
there's lots more architectural twiddly bits to do, more bears to bring in,
and more interesting lighting to add.
The building is all CSG using one texture. The bears are the DAZ Polar Bear,
posed in DAZ Studio, exported to and cleaned up in PoseRay before bringing
to POV. The illumination is one light with radiosity.
The copy of the image here is reduced by 25%, so forgive any fuzziness. The
full version (960 x 1280) took about 2h 45m on my clunky old AMD 1.8Ghz
Windows XP box.
Hope you like the image. More to come.
Best,
Alan.

Looks great so far! I particularly like how the lighting turned out. The
soft, evenness of ithe radiosity, along with the cool tones in the image,
make this feel like a wintery scene. Keep 'em coming!

I like the stairs - they have sort of an Escher feel to them.

yeah, the same idea shoot through my mind as I saw the image.
This would make a nice, mind bending gimmick to add some geometrically
impossible staircases or sidewalks, eventhough I have no clue how to
realize something like this.

I've seen a couple demonstrations about how to use a forced perspective on
a perfectly normal object - in fact, there's an xscreensaver module that
shows this in a very effective way.

Among other things, Jim Henderson saw fit to write:

... and there's even my signature ;-)
