Actually, bigtime WIP, but decided to post before it became a trend and
everyone beats me to it.
I'm working on cutting out the windows, and finished the walls of the
first floor, I kinda liked this view from the back of the building. It
looks a lot like a foam model my uncle did of his house before he built it.
Anyway, it doesn't look like much, I know, but I just liked the way this
view looked.

Thanks.
Yep, its very early, but it has taken me a few weeks to even get to that
point: I drew the floor plan on graph paper, and continuously revised it
until I could get it to "work", and with only being able to work on it
for a couple hours once or twice a week, it moves slowly. I got plenty
of time this weekend, and finished cutting out the windows and working
on the second floor. Hopefully, I don't lose steam and can push the
project forward.
I did spend some time writing macros to shingle a roof. It'll be
interesting to see it in action. :)
Once the empty building is finished I can start working on all sorts of
cool details like windows, bricks, flooring, furnishings and accessories.
I'm getting ahead of myself.. :-\

I did a similar view of a house I bought. One thing that looked nice
was putting a point light source in each "room" to better be able to
see the shape itself. You can shut these down once you get in-home
light specified.

2nd Floor Complete!
A few notes:
Floor plan is implemented, not all of the windows are cut out, yet. The
stairs are visible in the rear picture because the stairwell isn't
walled in, yet. I'm debating with myself if I want to change the windows
on the 2nd floor bedrooms. I may leave them the way they are for
consistent look on the outside.
The floorplan is my own design, and probably wouldn't work in "The Real
World", though maybe it will. Units are to scale. The house calculates
to roughly 4000 sq. ft!

More WIP images
(Geometry)
Roof is nearly complete. Ignore the open gable ends. Those will be
fixed. The protrusions on the roof are parts of the room geometry that
need to be cleaned up (They don't fit under the roof, and will need to
be taken care of.)
Interior is complete. Both floors. For a (low quality) panoramic walk
through visit: http://www.michaelraiford.com/pano/pano.htm
(Realism)
I have a long way to go :) I'm getting near time for the shingle and
brick macros.
(Texturing) Areas for different floor coverings have been selected.
Brown = Hardwood, Tan = Carpet, checker = Tile. The second floor is
done, but the walkthrough doesn't show it.
