So, this is the latest update. I've added some furniture and changed the
sun's position somewhat for a better overall lighting of the scene. I've
planned to put a small piece of cloth or such onto the table, with a bottle
of wine and two glasses, and am thinking about some sort of rug or such for
the bare lower left corner of the image. I also want to experiment with some
framed pictures on the wall beside the lamp.

The rendering times have (naturally, with added objects, reflecting textures
and some better radiosity settings) increased, the first radiosity gathering
pass requires 51 minutes, whereas the rendering pass, with some
anti-aliasing, now requires roughly 30 minutes (had to do a continued trace,
so the time isn't exact).

Anyways, comments and suggestions welcome!

Regards,
Tim

I would say "this is starting to look good", but that would be an
understatement, so I'll just stare at it for a couple of minutes wishing I
could do something like that.

This surely is beatuifully rendered. My only suggestion would be about
the sofa. This may just be a matter of taste though. It looks modern and
stylish, but not really as cosy as I would expect in a living room.
IMHO, it looks more like office furniture. Personally, I would prefer
something more soft-looking, with arm rests.

Yeah, the arm rests are to follow, along with a slight rehaul on the sofa. I
feel exactly the same way, it looks stylish, but not very comfortable. I
just delayed the remodelling of the sofa until I had some other things in
place to get a better feel how the sofa should look like.

Tim

Love it. Only suggestion: A wee bit of tree-shadow?
