Sample images for the 0.2 version of the Linux framebuffer patch,
see povray.unofficial.patches (same subject) for details. All images show
the same test render at 640x480 and various color depths. Other screen
resolutions are possible depending on your graphics card capabilities and
the framebuffer driver that is used by your Linux kernel.

1) 8bpp color depth (256 colors) with a "web" palette of 6x6x6 = 216 colors.

2) Same but with the default palette of 5x8x6 = 240 colors. One can
notice less dithering artefacts in general, and conversely more
pleasing uniform areas (looking at some distance).

3) 8bpp grayscale mode (240 gray levels) when one set Palette=G in the
povray.ini file (or uses the corresponding +Dxy setting, see the
    POV-Ray documentation).

4) 5) and 6) Same test render displayed at 15, 16, and 24 bpp truecolor
modes (with 32K, 65K and 16M colors) respectively. There is almost
no visible color difference (if to forget about the JPG compression
    used in these images).
