To my considerable surprise, I think I've finished this picture! This is
good because I'm probably not going to have much more time to work on
it. But in any case this is the first time I've finished an IRTC entry
more than 1 week before the deadline.
So... just thought I'd post this latest and probably last iteration.
Expect something very similar to this to appear on the IRTC and Zazzle
websites in about 1.5 months :)
Full source available on my website:

Final render time:
7h 55m 48s at 7800x5200, pretty quick!

Oh my God, it's full of stars! :)
Beautiful, Tek. Does this image incorporating gravitational lensing? It
sort-of looks like it does...

Uh... yes it does! no it doesn't really. That's the power of psychology
in full effect :)

This image is just simply outstanding. I admit I wouldn't have realized
how outstanding without Slime's link to the hubble shots. Watching the
whole development of this image has just been astonishing and eye
opening for me. One of those things that happen when you hang out at
this ng. Then you want to tell all your friends, but they never understand.

It is and then again it isn't. Although there are lots of stars in the
various galaxy (presumably), there are no individual stars. So this is
a view you would get when far outside any galaxy. It think Tek has
single handedly increased the distance covered by POV by a huge factor.
Thanks for that, Tek.

Now available at ludicrous resolution in hard-copy form in exchange for
some of your hard-earned:
http://www.zazzle.com/products/product/product.asp?product%5Fid=228043221470215297
Okay I've only ever sold 2 posters so I ain't exactly expecting to make
any money here, but it does let you click on the "magnify" option to see
just how high res this image is!
Enjoy!

Now I'm lucky that zazzle didn't yet contact about my prize! This one
will be included on my list for sure. Congrats, Tek, this is an
achievement of truly astronomical proportions!
