Hi everybody. It has been many years that I do not post anything. This
is my last work. The face was modeled in Wings3d

Nice. I like the grain of the skin (procedural?)
Lighting is too greyish for my taste.
Ear is too flat but I know, it's not easy to model.

Great first outing.  There is a lot of good observation there and you 
have communicated the delicacy we expect from feminine features very 
well.  It really is no small accomplishment. The corners of the mouth, 
for instance are very good. And you have taken the time to describe the 
shape of the eye ducts and even to suggest the muscle at the inner duct. 
  I take it you put the eyelashs in algorithmically, or were they 
modelled in Wings also? The eyebrows appear to be separate mesh objects, 
but I have no clue as to how you got the clean line between the lips' 
texture and the surrounding skin.

Yes, the skin is procedural. At this moment is composed by 4 layers of 
texture but I'm still not satisfied.

About the grayish tone I agree with you. In the computer where the image 
was rendered, the color looked fine but I'm using other to read the 
thread and it looks to gray.

About the ear, again you are right. I have to fix that.

PD. I visited your site and found the Twin girls with a pearl earring 
astonishing. I noticed that you are also interested in sub surface 
scattering.

Right, the eyelashes were put with a little macro in povray.

Within wings a gave distinct colors to the skin, eyebrows and lips. When 
exported to .obj format, they were exported as different objects, so in 
povray I could assign different textures to them.

Well I'm amazed. I didn't dream to do any specific face. IMHO this is 
much harder to do.

After discovering wings, my first attempts to do a face were simply no 
sense. My sister lend mi a book on anatomy and a couple of books on 
drawing figures and faces. I bought some fashion magazines and working 
on and off I finally did this face. I also started to visit the forums 
at http://www.cgtalk.com and got some inspiration there.

 Hi Alberto

  This is looking good! I think you have captured a fantastic female face 
here. I'm sure I've met this Lady in the past, (I wish!), but I'll go with 
some of the others and say that the ear needs remodeling. If you go to 
'Tweak' in 'the Tools' menu, you might be able to adjust the ear enough. I 
would at least bring the ear out some, it looks too close to the head.

   Nice job though, and looking forward to the next.
