Hi all.
I've been working on an 'artistic' type starfield for while, thought I'd
show a WIP for comments.
Idea is to produce something like
http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/4256959/
A starfield where the stars are in clumps, optionally with dust and glow,
rather than scattered
randomly around.
This is still very much a WIP, so no code for now. The one problem is that
it takes a while to parse,
round about a minute and a half right now.

I like it. Could be just what I need for one of my unfinished projects,
actually.

I think this has much potential. I am looking forward to more. I suppose you
will be able to vary star colors too? maybe some flares?

Yes, and the dust and glow

Planned, once I sort out a few bugs.

I can send you the WIP code if you like. No documentation and lots of quirks
though

A quick try with pigment stars. Needs some work, but I can't see d*** on
this monitor. Can't even see well enough to adjust the contrast. This is
straight out of POV. I guess I'll see how it looks when I get home.

That's very nice. What pattern did you use for the clouds?
