My twelve-year-old, when she recounts a story to me,
ends most sentences with an interrogative upturn of
her voice. It's like she doesn't quite trust that
the words are working and that I actually understand
what she means. On Sunday she walked in playing with
a clear plastic beach ball. It had a map of the globe
printed on it and had some blue liquid inside. I gave
her a puzzled look. Her explanation:
"I went with Nelly to the philharmonic(?) And they were
giving out these beach balls(?) So me and Nelly were
playing with it(?) But it wasn't working very well(?)
It was too light and it wouldn't come down and it kept
getting stuck in the trees(?) So I said, 'Water might
work.' So, then, Nelly figured out how to get the
water into it. First we just pushed it through the water
really fast(?) But most of the water went out(?) So then
we sort of squeezed it and more water went in(?) Mommy
said it looks like the ocean so we put food coloring in
it. We took it to our softball game and everyone thought
we were crazy. Except for one girl, she liked it too."
Rendering the iso for the colored water with media doesn't take long.
Rendering the clear plastic doesn't take long. But rendering
the media-filled iso inside the clear plastic takes longer
than I want to spend until I have something really worthwhile.
This little render using just an interior with fade took over
four hours. So,...any potential here?
