I took some photos of my room and put them on boxes around this image.  I 
was just playing about with putting reflective objects in the middle of them 
and came up with this.  The media liquid needs tweaking a bit, but I thought 
it looked ok.

Whatever that liquid is *I* will not be drinking it.. The blueish film 
on top looks toxic :)

The glass reminds me of these plastic cups I once had, they had a blue 
tint to them. There's something odd about the reflection on the glass.

What? I thought it looked like a perfectly good cocktail :-D

Yeh, I think that's because my "room" doesn't have any "floor", just 
walls... you can see the sharp line where the walls disappear into 
nothingness.

Actually, I think 95% of your glass is just reflecting the table. Only the
very top of it reflects the room. Maybe you should move the camera down for
a lower perspective to get a better idea of what the reflections really look
like? Also, it might help if you make the room brighter (raise the ambient
value) since it looks pretty dark.
