Haven't touched POV-Ray since last year... just wanted to get back the hang
of it so... I had this neverending model, I just tried and textured it. This
was meant to be an early test render, then it took more than three days to
render... it did not quite come out as expected so... I don't think I'll
ever finish the dang model and set it in a proper scene. Maybe I better dig
for my lost inspiration and start a new one.
Anyway, the not-so-high-radiosity-settings caused those ugly artifacts in
the bottom-left shadow... the dust effect is somewhere overdue... somewhere
it's lost completely... in fact it's one of the things I was testing.
Best regards,

Jonathan.

Awesome model, of course!
Those render times suck!
Instead of giving up, have you considered a (probably faster rendering)
cell-shaded version with a comic-book style city or explosion behind
him? I had only one of these toys as a kid, but this looks like I
remember it.

I like it. Have you considered making a greeble-less model for texture
testing and scene composing, and then turn on the greebles only for the
final rendering (and the post final one, and ...)

I'm not going to finish this one anyway so... do you want to see the code?
There are a couple of macros that might be of some use.

I'd love to see it! My little nephew showed me one of these and I thought of
working it out, but decided I had too many projects going already.
If you post the code please let me know.
