Just playing around with Blender and finally figured out why Povanim wasn't
smoothing the mesh. Alien is supposed to have some SSS skin, but it's not
really apparent. probably lighting problems.

I figured Sylvain's "Go Stones" would be a good environment for this little
creature. They are filled with chocolate after all! My board and pieces are
just cheap imitations of his :)

The spaceship is just CSG, and was originally going to be for an underwater
scene. 

Alien is modeled in Blender.

Critiques welcome! (i don't know why there are bright pixels in places... i
used +AM2 +A0.1)

Wonderfully cute idea. Composition is a bit off however in that the antenna 
looks like it's attached to the ship. I spent some time trying to figure out 
if it were a lifeline or what....

Thanks! I agree about the composition. The antenea needs to be a bit more in
the foreground somehow. With the brightness at that spot, it's a little flat
and gets lost in the ships highlighting. A life line is an interesting idea
though...  :)

They're small quick little buggers. They are actually a preferred appetizer
for other larger aliens, due to their built-in handles (imagine a bowl-full
of cherries) ... a work in progress of mine.
