no, not toooo rusty. but too sharp and perfect in shape. something this
rusty would be mishapen, missing chunks, be a little flattened out in places
and so on.

What he said.

Any nails that rusty are probably used (or at least abused), and almost
certainly pitted with corrosion.

Not conpletely implausible but maybe a bit homogeous looking for your
usual garden variety rust effects. There are some transparent nails there?

Subtitle: Lockjaw

I've seen rustyer nails. Looks like new nails diped in vinegar and left out in front
of some beatch
house.
Why is there that invisible, shadow casting nail? And that almost invisible one
resting on the tip
of the invisible one?

   They were a mistake. I was wondering if anyone knew why. ;)

     See the code in my reply to Jim. (Although, after testing just now, it
seems that it has nothing to do with the code I'm using).

 Yes, transparent, but I don't know why with this code:

pigment {
image_map {jpeg "metal.jpg"
map_type 1 interpolate 4 }
scale 70

}
normal{ bumps .35 scale .000012}
finish{ ambient -.035  metallic .8
reflection .015}
          }
