Every Myst clone needs...
...a cool elevator.
Ignore the textures (or lack thereof). I'm just throwing together the basic
shapes at this point.

Yeah, you're right! Looking good so far. Remember to add lots of small
details to the machinery, and try to come up with a technique which will
"look" like it *could* (perhaps) work. ;-)
Will you make a game from this, or not? :-O

I'm working on the biggest parts first, but will add lots of hardware &
little details as I go. Will add a drive mechanism, possibly shaft-driven,
sticking out of the top. And levers and buttons of course.

Doubtful. It would take me forever to make enough scenery.
