Plus media, plus media-influenced radiosity. Slow, has artifacts.
100 samples, 0.5 error bound. Environment in-progess model of my
residence...need to get back to working on it, haven't touched it for a
few months. Figure is DAZ studio's Aiko 3.

Nice. How (painfully) long was the render time? The dispersion effect
always seems to be a render time multiplier (at least it was for me)

started it around...10? 9 am? finished about 11 pm, so not too terrible.
i figure if it's noticeably further along after half an hour, it's not
too slow for a random effects test render. the radiosity bothers me
though, i want higher quality but the render time would skyrocket with
better settings.

For the radiosity tests, try removing the figure. As it's transparent, it have a
relatively small
effect, but takes a long time. Also, temporarily removing the media, another speed
killer.

Yeah, I'm running a set of radiosity test renders atm...at a lower
resolution, too :P
