Hi all
Long time no see...
For the first time is quite some time, I got a useable idea for the IRTC.
Basics is a night time futuristic city. Still working on the lighting More
lighing, and more texturing is required for the landing platform at the
front
I'll be adding vehicles and people next (both ones I've modelled, and ones
I've bought/downloaded)
The red cylinder in the foreground is a placeholder for the main part of the
scene. It's about the height of an average person.
Comments?
Thanks
Gail

one thing that caught my eye was the normal on the reflective glass windows.
it seems a little too much. i think i see what you're going for (slightly
bowed glass panes?), it just looks a little off with the chosen values.

Nice idea. Gotta admit, this round, I got nuttin',... blank, zilch,
niet, nada, NO. THING.

I love nightime city scenes just for the lighting. In fact I was just
out snapping some shots last night. No keepers though.

And that building that's curving away I think

Aaahhh. That particular building is givine me more trouble than any other. I
like the shape of it but I can't work out what else I'm going to do to it.

Just a thought. Maybe you could make some of the windows stick out slightly,
others go more inside, if you see what I mean...

Yes there is something odd about it. I like it too. It adds spatial
drama to the scene but the windows seem to not quite diminish correctly
in space. In part I think it is the frames of the windows. The tops
don't appear to follow the curve of the top of the building. But it is
also the texture of the wall. It seems too even and we can't really see
it diminishing in space. I presume it does but our eye can't pick that
up. I was thinking that a little grunge might appear to lie flat on the
wall more. The pure noise you have now just seems to kind of hover in
space. It may in fact be a real illusion that would happen with such a
building in real life. But in your picture it doesn't deliver the
spatial drama the eye wants.
