Following the thread above (The De Groot Islands), I have been experimenting
with the possibility to make foam in the shallows of the sea, using code
provided by Marc Jacquier (see also his codesea.pov, from may 2004). The
result is this image. My problem is that foam appears everywhere, not only
on the shallows, whatever I do. Although this is a nice feature, it is not
what I wanted in
the first place. So, I probably do something wrong.

I shall put the scene file and a slightly modified geomorph_mcr22.pov that
is needed, to p.b.s-f, hoping for enlightment :-)

Thanks for any help or comment!

I love the sea by itself-- never seen anything like it. I could do without
the rocks, not only do they look wierd but they make the sea look unnatural
right next to it-- the water's shape should be more influenced by sea.

Thank you. The sea is something that Marc Jacquier coded a few years ago in
the isosurface plugin for Moray. The foam texture code is also Marc's; the
water texture code is mine.
Be aware that the scene is only intended as an example for the problem
exposed (foam). It has no further value whatsoever. Please see the
discussion in p.b.s-f.
