Well, I've had it a while now, but only had time over the last couple of
days to model it.

It took 2hrs to render on my P4 3 Ghz. I used 3 area lights, no radiosity
and a bit of focal blur. The actual shape is pretty straightforward, just a
load of RoundBoxes, and then two image_maps, one for the display and one for
the button text.

Next is to do the headphones, should be pretty easy with a sphere_sweep and
some simple CSG for the actual ear-pieces and the plug. But I am going to
be away and busy so it will be a while before I can work on this again.

It looks good as far as modelling, but the front, the white cover, it ought
to be 2 layers: a creamy white layer, and a ior-ed glassy layer over it.
That's what gives iPods that unique look.

Still, very nice!

Well, I tried to do this but I don't think it looks quite right. Maybe I
have the glassy layer too thick? But if I make it thinner it looks no
different. It's 0.4 mm thick on this render.
