Folks,
Over the last couple of months, I have made a macro that generates
isosurface landscapes with a touch of geology or geomorphology. In
particular, the generation of islands or single rocks is made possible. You
can change and combine 50 different parameters.

This image is a (crude) example of what the macro can do.

The macro, and a pdf document, are zipped and made available in p.b.s.-f.
under the same header.

As always, comments are very welcome.

Enjoy!

Thomas

Thomas,
This looks great. Do you host this macro/docs on a web page? I'd like very
much to add a link to this macro. If not, I'd be happy to host for you.

   Sounds very interesting...

Just downloaded it, to see if I can borrow some ideas for my own
landscape generator... thanks for sharing!

Thank you Neil!
No, I do not have a web page. Never found time really to start one ;-)
someday, probably...
So, you are welcome to host the macro. Thanks indeed!

Thomas

Thank you. It still lacks AA and a little bit higher max_gradient. Also the
texture is not correct in this render. The trees, by the way, were made with
Gena's POV-Tree.

You are very welcome! Quite probably you already used all the little tricks
:-)
I wrote something really straightforward as I am not that skilled in math.
