Be gentle folks. This is my 1st post. I still consider myself a newbie. I
started looking at POVRay (and computer graphics) about 6 weeks ago.

The scene is simple, a GO board, some pedestals and some area lighting. I
am pleased to say everything in the scene is from my own hand. I have been
using Moray to create the images and am starting to realize that I must drop
down into POVRay itself to create some of the more advanced effects. It is
only in the last few days that I realized that Moray seems to provide only a
subset of the capabilities of POVRay itself.

I like it Neil... nice composition, nice feeling of antiquity,
sophistication, great expanse, etc.

Keep up the good work!

I guess the go pieces could be interpreted as spheres, so even if
they're not reflective, this image can be considered an appropriate
variation of "Reflective Sphere Over Checkered Plane". Welcome to the
groups!

Pretty advanced for a first scene - Despite playing with POV for several
years now, I've yet to try area lights :)
