The all-dress'd of POV: photons, radiosity, refraction,
dispersion, focal blur.

No post-process except for resizing.

That's a very nice picture illustrating the possibilities of Povray, 
although the solids themselves don't appear very clear. For the Platonic 
solids appearing on my website I used povray in a much more simple way. 
To be honest I've a lot of problems using photons, radiosity etc...

You could add scattering media interacting with photons (probably with 
excencity 0.0)

Very cool animations on your website.

To Stephen:
Hard to tell on my dying monitor, but it looks like there's a ton of 
black in your picture. Maybe placing the shapes in front of a brighter 
background would show them (but not the photons, I guess) better.

For the black, it's the sky. I've launch another
trace with a much lower IOR.  Smeems to be
much better.

Also, Rafal is right. I forgot the atmospheric
media. Hum. Next trace, although I always
had a hard time getting just the right haze.

The thing with photons is that they are so
memory consuming. Just that simple picture
took 700 M just in photons, maybe another
50-100 M in radiosity.
