I wrote an include file for the creation of poolballs.
If anyone wants the source, let me know.

Cheers,
Peter

How do the players know whether that's a 6 or a 9?

It's a nine. It's striped, rather than solid.

But usually either the six or the nine or both has a little bar
underneath, to tell you which way is up.

We are sure it was Mike Williams who wrote:

Thanks, I do not have a set of these around and I completely forgot.
Here's an updated version.

Cheers,
Peter

Hmm... Maybe a bit more diffuse in the finish. Also, I have seen with
most pool sets the white portions of the balls are not truely white, but
more of an ivory color.

I think the "floor" should be a straight line, not a smiley face. :-)

Let's say Darren New wrote the following:

I looked at some images of pool balls online and the "floor" is
definately curved. I must admit that my "floor" is not perfect though,
but neither is the number 1, so I will be changing those tomorrow
when I finaly have a day off.

Cheers,
Peter

I presume this is modelled on the Pixar image "1984" from that year... with
HRDI mapping and motion blur, 20 years ago!

We have reason to believe that Chris Johnson wrote:

Correct you are ofcourse, it is one of the color-plates in
"Computer Graphics - Principles and Practice 2nd Edition (in C)"
and I have always liked that picture. Not sure if I will do a motion
blur version though.

Cheers,
Peter
