No creative ideas so I modeled something that was on my desk
and then turned on the radiousity & photons. The original one
was red but this blue looks better for this picture. I was
trying for a wallpaper style, sort of.

Nice. If I were you, I'd turn on jitter for the area light to remove the
shadow banding.

Shouldn't the holes in the die be shallower?

adult dice? does that mean they have a beer belly, hair in strange places,
and children to support?

It means that they cannot be easily thrown in such a way as to
drastically increase the chance of a certain roll.

That looks great. The photonic effects are realy nice, very glassy though,
but I think that adds class. But real plastic wouldent bend light quite so
drastically as to completely shadow out large areas, which leaving only a
few focused filtered areas. But perhaps this is just a very expensive and
classy die :D

Huh? Oh. (goes to read the docs some more)

That's how they look on the actual die

In my opinion jitter makes it look even worse most of the time. Better
is to use "adaptive 1" and increase the grid size. The impact on render
time is not _that_ big...
