Ok, I was feeling left out with all the landscapes posted...
This is a project I started some time ago to create some terrain
textures. Kind of lagged until recently when I started playing around
with PlanetGenesis and needed some textures, so I resumed the project.
No media, just fog, three height_fields generated by PlanetGenesis, and
some pure Pov procedural textures.

The texture seems too grainy (or it has a too uniform grain), but the
overall impression is good. The mountains seem a bit smooth... perhaps
you can use the hf to create an isosurface and add some rocky detail.

Cool, get my very own PRLC bathroom key!

Yeah, I notice it looks grainier posted here than when I viewed it at home.
Part of it is my loose_stones texture needs to be scaled larger, but not
sure what else happened, I should probably use better AA, but then it
didn't look that grainy until I converted it to .jpg

I'll probably try that somewhere along the line, I haven't played much with
isosurfaces yet. I'm mainly going for speed right now, this only takes
about 4 min to render.
