A rather small image, as I've begun with the image just today and there
isn't enough detail to justify a bigger image.
Basically, what I'm trying to do is create some sort of Rose-Like flower
(not exactly a rose, but something similiar), but on a more abstract level,
hence the rounded edges etc. The image is supposed to be a birthday present
for my girlfriend, so for those out there that know us both: don't tell her!
:-)
I intend on placing some spectacular clouds in the sky (she loves the clouds
I've made so far) along with a nice sunflare, if the lighting permits (the
rose needs to be visible, and I don't like putting a spotlight in the scene
just to show of the flower properly). Anyways, it should get rather
photorealistic, with a metallic rose and some environment, of which I'm yet
unsure. I'm thinking about putting it in front of a window, but I'll get to
that once the rose and clouds have advanced somewhat further.
Comments and suggestions welcome!
Regards,
Tim

Neat idea! I like the way the organic shape of the rose is made out of
other shapes that turn out not to be organic. Very clever and good effect.

Awww... that's lovely. :-)
(Wish *I* had one though... *sigh*)

Definitely a neat concept. Well *I* like it anyway...

I concur with Aaron, it's very interesting how you achieved a
natural-looking rose using simple primitives.
Keep up the good work,
Fernando

Thanks you two, at least I'm on the right track for the rose. I'll add a few
thorns and a leaf or two, and then do my work with the clouds...

Patience is all it takes.

I've already waited over a decade...

My current girlfriend is the first which has actually fallen in love with
me, I could have done well without the other different experiences... The
important thing is to not push *too* much, but also, not too *little*. See
the bright side: you don't have bad experiences either! And, once there is
an onimous *she* in your world, you'll be one of those which can value it
properly. So, finally, as I said: Patience. It's a virtue.

Tim

Very cool. I have always preferred your TNv1.0 stuff, and this is back
to that style. I would caution against too literal a background, as the
original, abstract symbol you have created might resemble a generic gift
(there are several styles of available crystal roses for sale) if shown
lying against a table or window sill.

I'll bet!

Yeeees... as always, the art of balance. Simple concept, hard to implement.

Of that I *am* glad!

Boy will THAT be a day for celebration...

Patience? Hmm... maybe I'm too much of a programmer! ;-)
Thanks.
