I have that exact lamp on my desk.
...or rather, I did have, but then I moved it. You see, it has a habit
of MELTING things you illuminate with it! :-0

my cat would just curl up under it and ocassionally get up to curl the
up the other way to toast the other side
she currently uses a halogen 20W @ about 10"
