The protrusion is so tongue-like that it is begging for some organic
accompaniment. Maybe an anatomical form to the side, so that each pieces
tongue would be pointing at the next pieces organic feature. Could be
something sexual or just an ear, even an eye. A more subtle organic
accompaniment would be blood on the tips of each or one of the tongues.
