mate. there should be no phong or specular highlight, unless those are
varnished bricks.
Altough I don't like the pink used, I saw some photos of actual
buildings of the same general colour.
What is that highlight on the back wall beside the fire place? I don't
see any obvious source for it.

Pleasing scene and some very nice detailing with the architecture and
accoutrements. Not entirely sure what I am lookingat though. Would
this be a sort of courtyard or archaid for a private dwelling? The
external exposure would result in ineveitable weathering of the painted
stucco which would add much to the charm as well as the realism.
You seem to have a texture applied to the wall enclosing the bbq but the
lighting doesn't show it up at all. I am not sure why.
But I see you have put a great deal of effort so far into achieving the
look of natural surfaces. You are also working hard to explore the
effects of artificial lighting. You need to get these two interests to
compliment each other I'm thinking.

The bricks are indeed varnished, They should be indeed ruffer though.
I think I'll add a finer grain bump.

The source is the lamp on the fire-place itself. Maybe the wall has to much
Phong.

Good observation :^)
It's an artefact actually. I'm using 3x3 area lights, circular with jitter.
The noise should become less if I increase the 3x3 number and/or disable
the jitter.
