The last version of this scene took about 30 minutes to render, this version
took over 10 hours!

I've changed the sphere into 2 isosurfaces (one silver one and one coloured
one), plus I've added some really nice focal blur. Hey maybe if I add some media
I can get the render time over a day? :)

It's slow because, as you know, gravity afects time, slowing it. The old
version had no (noticeable) time-space distortions and thus was fast. This
version has a very strong gravity well.

Man, am I a geek or not. :-D

Hi,

It's a really great image, but if you really want to get your render times way up over
the day
mark, I think you should aim for a less grainy focal blur... maybe use variance 0 with
a few
hundred blur_samples.

All the best,

Andy Cocker

Well, it's a beauty. And since it's already in 1600X1200, I replaced your
last render with this one. It looks great on my desktop! Nice piece of art!

I know that it might look like a fixation from my part, but do I see some of
Mr Kluchikov" twist in this "swallowing" floor?

Ciao!

Mart

Looks really cool! There's something -- creepy about it, though. It is
reminiscent of pain -- like an eyeball being squeezed or -- wtf is wrong
with me anyway. Perhaps IMBJR would have insight? :-)

Yeah; and if you double the blur samples you're probably lookin' at a
week too! :-)

Are you saying Tek is a voraphile? :-)
Again; IMBJR might have insight!
