I did this as a quick
I-have-been-too-long-without-poving-maybe-I-should-do-something-before-I-go-
to-bed sort of experiment :)
It took around 16 hours to render.
I still don't know how to improve it (I don't have much time either). I'm
rendering now a version with a tad more reflection in the ceramic.
Anyways, I hope you like it and will appreciate any suggestions/comments.

And the obligatory JPEG2000 version. This one has a slightly different
post-render manipulation.

Yes it is, I found it on the internet. I had to play a bit with the Gimp to
get a correct bump map from the original image map, but I think it worked ok
:)

Thanks!

Yes it is nice. Although I am wondering if you should invert your
normals. For me the mortar (if that is the right word in this context)
seems to be higher than the tiles and some tile seem to curve upwards
close to the edge (like the one in the left lower corner, that has a
highlight on the left edge).

Yes, in some places the mortar is as high as the tiles, but I don't think
it's inverted... I think that's a problem with the bump map. Perhaps I
should try to fix the bump map manually.

It doesn't look worth 16 hours of render?! He he he...
I don't know... I suppose it took so long because I used a high-quality
focal blur and radiosity, media and refleciton for the ceramics.
I'm still not 100% satisfied with the ceramic material... Hopefully I'll
have more free time to play more with this stuff.
