Almost finished... lot of work to find hi-res (3d-scanned) models and
convert them for pov via Poseray.
1h20 rendering.

Looks nice, I love the subsurface scattering of the figurines. Is it just
my imagination or is the image map on the vase distorted?

No, Its really distorted because I can't do nice mapping :-( (uv_mapping
doesn't seem to work)

Sweet!
For that pattern, try just applying a cylindrical image_map (map_type 2). It
looks like you have planar mapping (0) which will distort the more the face
turns away.

Very nice!
Better lightening
good SSS effect
Aren't the shelves more Japanese than Chinese?
And that teapot is not a Chinese one, it comes from Utah I guess ;-)

Really nice,
Though I think I preferred the smooth shiny floor
in your previous post.

Nice job.
But I do'nt know how to eliminate distorsion on the vase map. It's
impossible obtaining a result with a planar drawing on a deformed mesh.
Perhaps you can develope the mesh with a special soft, and tehn "paint the
drawing"

It is a cylindrical map ! but I don't know why the left part is distorted.
I've tried with uv_map but I can get better. :-(

Yes, it's from Utah an modelised by a great Moray user I know... There is no
SSS in the green dragon, everyboby think it, but its just glass texture and
the couple : fade_distance, fade power...
I'll plan to change the teapot to makes it more "oriental"...
Thanks for comments :-)

You could try using a slightly stretched source image and sort of split
the difference. Nothing to loose in trying anyway.
