I've been challanging myself to see what I can do with Moray's mesh
modeller. It takes a lot of time and patience. this ear goes with a head I'm
working on, which is almost done. I still have to do the back of the ear.
I'll add texture last.

Looks great. I'm planning to model a character in Moray, but I don't
know if I should use some other program (blender, 3dsmax) for the task.
Any advice?

Best regards / Fernando

Thank you.
I can't offer any advice as far as comparing Moray with blender or 3dsmax
since I havn't used either of those. I have used Hamapatch a little and
thought it was easier to use than Moray. One of the things I had to do with
Moray was to get in the habit of saving every time before doing a render,
because it would tend to crash after making a lot of changes. See the thread
"Crash info and a question" in the moray.win newsgroup.

Technically, the ear is the hardest part of the body to model, so since
you've got this down so well, the rest will be cake! Nice job!

You're right about that. I saved the ear for last, and I've spent as much
time on it as on the entire head!
Thank you.

Cool stuff. Can you post a screenshot of the control mesh, i.e with
subdivisions turned off?

Also, I'd be interested in what sort of features you might be missing
in the editor that would increase efficiency/productivity....

Follow-ups to moray.win....

Lutz,
Thank you. I sent two screenshots to moray.binaries, and a reply to
moray.win.
