Whew. I'm just happy to know I'm not the only one stumped by this. He used
many cylinders, but how did he get those cylinders to conform so perfectly
to a sphere? I'm thinking there must be a /boat-load/ of cylinders. I'd
really like to see the code. There's genius in dem chars.

Lots of cylinders...that *is* neat. Except for the background...don't
care for that color. Source?
Hmm...maybe put some kidn of glowy fire thing in the middle...like some
kind of Dyson Sphere structure. Or make the "traces" black, and overlay
them on a gold sphere. Or subtract them from a sphere, like engraving.

Very funny you should say that. Now two computer sharps have told me
that they don't like cyan. Ian B. told me that it reminded him of old
computers from the early nineties. Perhaps the same is true for you. I
was living in the forest during the early nineties, so I never developed
that prejudice.

I think many cylinders could be replaced by sections of tori. That would
keep it perfectly round while reducing the number of objects.

Only very few sections could be replaced by tori. The majority of curves
are not two dimensional.

Excellent. Something about this really has that retro sci-fi ping to
it.
