Here is my first post! Actually it is 2nd, but this is the 1st _real_ post!
It is a variation of the famous theme: a sphere and a checkered plane.
(I have to admit that I added a few other items to make it a bit more
interesting.)
The lighting is by no means final and many objects are missing and all of
them are without a proper texture. So I have a lot of work to do. But I
like the mood which radiosity gives to this scene.

Nice job on the lighting, but the glass on the table is a bit cloudy.

Ah ! Oh, yes I can see it on the table ! But it seems you added a few
other elements in your image.
I might be your first post but I'd bet it's not your first image.

Not bad for a first imagine... In fact, better than any POV-Ray image I have

Quit that! You're making me have a sudden urge to down a shot of nyquil

Good job, but the reflective sphere could be just a little more prominent.

Thanks and yes, the glass _was_ cloudy! I was trying to get rid of it and
nothing seemed to work until I noticed that I had a different and
overriding pigment for the central vase. Obviously altering the glass
texture in another file didn't have any effect. So one bug corrected!
Thanks for spotting it :)
One reason for the cloudiness is also the plain white table. I'll think of
something to mess it up...

Damn nice job. Inspiring, actually. Better than a lot of the stuff I've seen
