Some metallics rocks from nowhere... No light used, just HDRI and
radiosity. Balls are combination of isosurface (agate normal_map) and
the same normal_map for the pigment and normal. approx. 1h to render on
my Athlon XP2500+. I just have to find a pretty background or soil now :-\

These remind me of old cannon balls. The texture is wonderful. My only
comment is that it appears the texture was applied linearly to a
spherical object. I think I can see where the poles are on the spheres.
Still the effect is very convensing, would you be willing to share the
texture you used?
