Haven't done any more work on my tricycle pic, but wanted to post something,
so here's one I did a couple of years ago. Originally made with MegaPOV,
recently converted to 3.5.

Good floor. Might be difficult to walk on and look down at the same time.
:-)

I wonder if Rod is saying something about being in a room where electricity
is used and yet no sign of wires or outlets. ;-)

The light probably needs more luminosity shining through the lampshade,
among other details that could deter from a reality scene. Although my first
glimpse of this image certainly fooled me momentarily. Not sure if it was
because I was thinking I could sit down to watch a Twilight Zone show or
what.

I don't remember if I made the floor tile or found it somewhere on the net
(I started on it in 2000).

Still not finished. The CD player also needs some work. But there are
speakers behind the speaker grills ;-)

If I make it too transparent, the lampshade doesn't look right. If I make
it less transparent, not enough lite gets thru.

Could fake it using a lens flare effect, placed between the camera and
lampshade.

Something else just now occured to me. You have some reflection on the TV
screen and glass door but I'm not seeing any from pictures on the walls or
CD cases. The two photos on the entertainment center might have. And I'm not
sure anything would be obvious enough from the CD cases even if they did
reflect a little bit.

Something looks off about the top of the TV. Do the planes that form the
sides not meet up with the plane that forms the top at the back of the TV?

Nice picture. Rod Sterling's Night Gallery on the TV is a great touch!

Hmmmmmm.....

I just looked at the source code. The wall photos and CD's have reflection,
but have nothing to reflect. I guess I'll have to build the rest of the
room just so they look more realistic. Thanx for the comments... I just
might finish this (the CD player is also missing some detail, but it's not
enough to see from this distance).

I'm not sure what you're seeing. The TV is a solid CSG object (a box with a
bunch of stuff diferenced out of it)... no planes involved.

I've had planes appear in my CGS's before. For example if one of the pieces
you differenced out of your box had a co-incident surface with the side of
the box it could leave just that plane sticking out by itself. Look at the
circled areas in the attached picture. Why are there wooden teeth sticking
down into the top of the TV? Is this something sitting on top of the TV?
Maybe I'm just not looking at it correctly but it looks odd to me.

I think it's just the lighting. Here's a close up with brighter lights.
The top of the TV is the top of the grey frame around the picture. There is
a gap between the top of the TV and the top of the cabinet. There is a wood
back on the cabinet that can be seen over the top of the TV.
