Here is an isosurface pyramid I was planning to "decay" and enter into the
previous IRTC still competition, but never got past playing with the image
as is. I like it, but it needs more "blown sand" on the steps, and I am too
busy to work that out. I did manage to learn quite a bit about using
isosurfaces, including using pigments as isosurface functions (thanks to
Mike Williams' most valuable isosurface tutorials, bravo!!) and various
ways to make sand -- surprisingly difficult to get good undulations, the
current occurrence is not entirely to my liking.

I agree apart from the block laying.... take a close look at the pattern and
you might see what I mean.

I was referring to the sand but I do see what you mean. I didn't catch
that the first time.

Actually, that was intentional, to reflect common weathering on adjacent
blocks. However, as I mentioned, this was going to be something decayed,
and I was going to enhance the weathering later, which I have now
abandoned, and it would have made more sense then.

To bad, that would have made for a very interesting study, How
weathering affects the blocks in common ways, and how they would change
individually. Maybe focusing on just a few blocks. Nice idea, one that
never occurred to me.
