Hoi!

This is just a quick test on how to create such textures, so please
ignore the object and comment on the texture..

It could be improved by using the blob pattern to blend the textures of
the spheres with the one on the inner schlauch but I'm to tired to do
this atm :-)

BTW: this might appear on some alien spaceship later :)

PS: Thanks to Mr. Mathias Neubauer for inspiring me to POV again after a
long break.

I have no idea what a "schlauch" is, but I'm loving that texture!

Spline?
IMHO, it would be even better if the burlices would have equal distances,
because the subspecies #918-39 has load balanced zlingers.

A 'Schlauch' is a worm or a snake in German

No, it isn't.

Schlauch - flexible tube, hose

worm - Wurm
snake - Schlange

Just my 2 eurocents...

Hmmm, looks like a plasma tube on a Vorlon cruiser...

Wow, I really miss watching Babylon 5. :-D

Well done. Nice, organic texture.

That's why some of them created this web service for non-aliens:
http://dict.leo.org/?search=schlauch
;)
