Trying to set up the whole of the scene now.
I'm not sure that I am going to be able to get this done before midnight, so
it might turn out to be a generic harvest pic, rather than a Halloween one.
Put some tiles in place and overturned a barrel to use as a platform.
More to come ...

Progress ...
Pumpkin, but not satisfied with it.
Slow-going, so I guess this is going to be a fall harvest, not Halloween
image. :(

I like this "toy-look" texturing and modelling. Good modelisation and pretty
cute and simple texturing ! I really like.

"Toy look" is an interesting observation.
A lot of times when I look at my own stuff, it looks like
miniatures of some type, even when the scale between
objects is realistic.
Is this because the texture size is to big for the size
of the objects?
Can't figure it out ...

Fairly simple actualy,
1) The objects are too perfect
2) All lights/shadows/textures are too perfect
3) There is no size reference

I am pretty proud of the textures on the tiles and on
the wood and metal in the barrel. I find it quite hard
to get realistic-looking metals in POV-Ray, so when I
am able to do it, I feel very happy.
The pumpkin, though, is not so great.
Here is a very large version of the image for closer
inspection.

Very nice !
You can be proud of tile and wood texture :)
pumkin (if you turn to simulate a true one) has to much specular don't you
think?
Now, you know, I'm french and I think you could improve bottles and barrel
modelling:
bottles: transition between the neck and the shouders is too abrupt, you'd
get a better smoother shape using a lathe or a SOR than CSG as I think you
do.
Barrel: boards (or whatever name they have) are not well joined.
Regards
Marc
