Interesting. Looks like a nice variation on the all-time favourite
reflective sphere over checkered plane. But it does seem more like ice than
like water. But a nice job. Some clouds on the sky would have been nice, but
since you're just a starter: that's something we all have difficulties with
at the beginning. Just one hint: DON'T use the sky-sphere to map pigments
onto it (unless its a spherical image of some photographed sky or such),
rather use layered planes (Rune has a little code for that, if you want to
look at it) or media (Gilles Tran hosts a useful include-file for that).

Regards,
Tim

Ice IS water, silly person...just a different state.
However, this pic is a really nice icy texture. What normal
do you use?

:-) Silly Person, eh? Why do we have the word "ice"? Just out of curiousity,
don't *you* think of something liquid when reading "water", and something
solid, like those objects, when reading "ice"? Ha!

As Tim noted, nice take on the 'reflective sphere over checkered plane'
theme.

I get the impression those ice objects are melting so rapidly gravity
doesn't have a change to overcome the effects of surface tension and the
water is piling up on the ground....

See? See? I knew I'm not a complete nut!

Wuahahahahaha!

*runs away, frantically waving his arms*

...

Seriously though, this kind of discussion is way off-topic. :-)
