Let's see what your very first complete image looks like (assuming you
kept it).
Here's mine.

Got no image, cause of a system crash...
Anyways, my first image was a glass Levitron
above a black box, all lying on the standard
checkered plane. Background was something
cyan like. All in all, looked much like those
reflective-sphere on checkered plane images,
though with some refraction tucked in as well.
Without Antialiasing and anything fancy it took
about 2 hours to render on a Laptop with,
I guess, 300MHz or such. :-)

Thank you for reminding me just how much this image has improved since
I completed it the first time. That's why I keep the old versions.

My first image, probably from 1989 or 1990. This was done with DKBTrace
2.12, which became POVRay 0.5 sometime soon afterwards. I originally
Rendered this on an 80386DX running at 25MHz. Here's a link to it (I'm
posting from the web interface):

Is it time for a remake? :)

Hmm...I guess this would be the first complete POV image I've still
got, though I remember playing around with a glass sphere with a
light in it and a media-filled space and a converted starfury mesh
back in '98...

My first POV image, which was actually much better than my next 4-5... Just
a link, no image since I'm at work...

Hey guys!
> (assuming you kept it).
Who would throw away his first rendered picture? Well not me, here it
comes...
It's pretty young compared to the ones done with DKBTrace - this one was
made using POV 3.1 :)
