Hi,

Attached are two images of a scene I've been working on of a rock concert. I
created some simple people with random dimensions. I put over 6000 of them
into the scene and am excited by the early results.

Comments, suggestions?

Henry

Nice idea but it looks like we don't go to the same rock concerts :-)
At rock concerts I'm used to go, people are much more excited and don't keep
their butts on chairs.
They rather are gathered, dancing and jumping in front of the stage.

loose the chairs and close the gap between the 2 rows. try to position
people around the stage rather than in regimented rows.

Without the second image (the one with the chairs),
it looks to me like the crowd is pretty pissed off
and plotting a strategic layout to take over the
concert.

"Formation 1 & 2, you're the first wave!" :-)

Like someone already mentioned, you should
try to just place them randomly.

Regards,
Tim

A rock concert with people on chairs ? And their alignment looks more
like political meetings of early 30's...

Fabien.

LOL!!!! (Yes, here in the US most stadium concerts, at least the ones I've
been to, have chairs on the field).

Thanks for all the feedback. Placing people randomly without the chairs
sounds like a great idea (plus I can get ride of a bunch of objects to
speed up parsing) :)

I know the people are crude, I plan to keep working on them, hopefully get
them more human like.

What band is going to be performing? How about adding some
flames/sparks/explosions, fog, colored lights, the band's logo or symbol on
a giant poster or screen, and beer? If you would like, I could contribute
POV files for the following band logos: Metallica, Iced Earth, Slayer,
Solitude Aeturnus, Testament, and Iron Maiden...
