I've already posted a version yesterday, but I've
made some changes and I wanted to here some
commments.
The changes:
I adjusted the position and scale of things. The red
head was scaled a bit and the red pigment was a bit
to pink, so I reduced the reflection of blue light.
The red head also cast a shadow on the big blue cross
therefore I made it smaller and moved it towards the
camera.
Concerning the cross texture. I added a granite normal
and increased the ambience to make it look like ivory
or bone or something like that.
I also edited the memorial, the textures were split to
top, middle and bottom to give it more style. And I
cut the corners of the middle part off.
Well, these are the changes.

To be honest, I liked the previous one better.
But it shows promise anyway. Good work.

Thanks. I'm still working and optimising. At this moment
I'm also not really satisfied. Something is missing. But what?

I mean the last one, with lighter fog. The "big red head" was more subtle
that way, and created a more "subconscious" feeling in me that feels like
surrealism. I didn't feel the same with this one.

Don't think about what is missing - if you think that's not surrealism. :-)
Just do it.

Why do you think of religion? Do you meen the hovering
spirit with the cross instead of the head and the dead body
on the ground besides him?
I only wanted to visualize the death of mind. Therefore I let
the person on the ground die and show the spirit with the
"cross-head". If your mind dies, you die. .......-> matrix :-)
