This is supposed to be a wooden dolphin. The model is from Poser. I've used
micronormals on this one. I think it took almost three weeks to render on a
700 mhz pentium.

Good light and reflections. Too blurry and not very wooden. But you know
that. :)

Three weeks sounds like a bit too much, even for micronormals. Perhaps if
you used radiosity, paused the rendering a lot, or rendered it with an
insane resolution. But I'd say 2 hours are more like it, or even less.. I
would be ready to give it a try.

Hugo

I actually almost forgot about the rendering being going on. It finished
already one week ago and I kind of forgot about that also.

I don't mind long renderings.

Have you considered doing an animation of it? Heh.

Please don't encourage him! He has had the IMPFarm running flat out for
two weeks straight ;)

I think *this* would be much nicer in an animation, but at 10.5 hours
with AA 0.03, I think some optimizations are in order first...

(my dolphin's cooler than yours, nyah nyah)

Based on the Poser 4 dolphin, but I remodelled it with bezier patches
in Moray.

Maybe you should join www.imp.org so we can render a cool animation with
swimming/dancing/walking dolphin(s)?

Problem is I use Moray; I have no idea how to set up animation in POV
(rtfm, I know, but I'm too lazy/don't really care to atm)
