This is my atempted at a sphere over a chequered plane. I didn't break
the rules of the group, as my first image here did contain shiny spheres
over a chequered plane, about 200 of them and 400 other ones. But this
looks better.
It started life about a year ago as I was playing around colouring
models, I found the fruit on the net someplace, found out I could colour
them and that I wasn't any good at textures.
So it sat on my HD for a year until I had the idea to turn it into this
today.
Hope you like it.

Yes, I like it. The choice of textures and light is very much "artificial"
and normally I strive for obtaining a realistic look, but there are rare
cases when the simplified formulas looks impressive, and this is an example
of it. The colours are also quite ... artificial.. and I guess, that word is
derived from "art". Well, it's exactly the kind of colours, the real fruits
never have.
Nice objects you've found. Nice composition.
See you again.

Hugo
