I made the clouds less dense, changed the hills and lighting and made
many small adjustments, added some birds (post processed) and a black
frame. I'm beginning to like the result. :)

The hills look too far away, as if the egg must be on the edge of a cliff.
Perhaps just put a few blades of grass around the base of the egg to suggest the
ground it's sat on.

It's definitely starting to look like a professional poster now :)

I think some of Gilles Tran's clouds would look nice here, maybe something
like this: http://www.oyonale.com/histoire/images/makecloud2_demo_rain.jpg

Nice hills btw :)

It really looks like some kind of drawing or painting! It think it's worth
rendering it in HUGE format for zazzle or something like that.

Definitely an improvement, though I miss
some more contrast on the hills, a darker
shadow. Don't know how that could be
achieved though. Are you using fog, or are
the hills that much washed out in color by
texturing?

I'd pick a more simplistic font for the
title in the lower right corner, but can't
tell which one. Just more pure, less small
edges and corners.

Yeah, I'm quite pleased with that. :) Though I didn't do anything in
particular to achieve it.

Thanks! I'll try that.

Hmm, I think they look fine now. They shouldn't be so strong that they
have more contrast with the sky than the egg has. It's the egg vs. the
outside, so I like the hills to blend a little in with the sky.

Yes.

A more simplistic font would to me symbolize lightness, carelessness,
simple thoughts, a state of mind with no worries etc., and I don't think
that fits my intended expression with this image. (The theme of the
image is confinement.)

I'm not sure about that. I want the contrast between the egg and "the
rest" to remain rather strong, and I think that might be ruined if other
elements are placed in the foreground.

Thanks!

Hmm, those in that example are rainy dark clouds. Some of the other
examples look better suited for this image though, but I prefer creating
my own solutions instead of suing others'. And I don't think the lack of
photorealism in my own clouds is a problem, since the whole image have a
painted or drawn look anyway.

Thanks! It's just some granite patterns for a HF.

Looks very nice Rune !
It reminds me of Magritte surealist paintings, specially the clouds and the
egg/eye. Very nice !

What about an egg-shaped stone standing on the hills ?
