A few problems with this picture, and it took 10 days to render T_T
I'm thinkin' of 7 things that need fixing, and 1 thing I'm gonna
play with to add that's part of one of those.

The lighting really needs to be brighter and more vibrant. The colors are
quite dull aside from the beams of light on the sides.
Unless, of course, that's what you were going for.
But I see no solid objects brighter than a medium grey.

I agree. Maybe atleast just some variation between the balcony rails,
archway, and the rocks would help. if not color than just make one darker?
i'm not sure. the wings are really cool though. is the rainbow comming out
of the wings or is it in front of the angel?
good work though, i like it.

one more thing to add to my previous comment. I always think of angels as
having glowing lights on them or emmiting from them. I was looking through
art books at the library a few weeks ago and came across a book entitled
something like "How to spot an angel in classical art" and it was hundreds
of pages long, detailing different periods of art and how you could tell who
were saints and angels. it was pretty interesting. unfortunately i can't
offer any suggestions as i don't remember them, maybe just a halo! :p
but seriously, some of the things were like "a woman carrying bread and
apples during in 12th century paintings" (this is a fake example)
alas, i'll quit my semieducated art mumblings!

Why are the lights through the stain glass windows bright, yet in the room
behind its more of dull color?
The doors look like they would be hitting the wings.
Plus that room must get pretty weatherbeaten with doors like that.

The rainbow is indeed coming from the wing on the right (I forgot
to export the light behind the other one [mistake #1])...me, playing
with photons. The lights coming from the windows are way too bright
compared to the rest of the scene [mistake #2]. The colouration is
way too dull, as noted [mistake #3]. The stained glass windows are
themselves too subdued; can't make out the picture in them [mistake
#4]. I need to make the centre of the picture brighter than the
edges, by changing the ambient light to a spotlight [mistake #5].
The rainbow from the wings is not intense enough [mistake #6]. The
iridescence on the wings needs tweaking [mistake #7].

Be sure to experiment with the lighting. Right now I see that you have one
main light source. I think you could do a lot with this image. Experiment
with oversaturation (making the light so bright that white areas appear in
places) and backlights (to create a glow around the edges of objects). Maybe
even spotlight(s). Bring out the focus of the picture in some way with the
lighting. Do something fancy, this scene has potential.
