the grass is a few layers of gilles' grass macro. very neat macro :) then i
thought i'd try the finish map method he suggested not too long ago. both
the pearls and the stone use them. the sky reflected in the stone is just an
agate pattern on a sky sphere. the pearls are just spheres placed along a
spline. this was rendered with radiosity, though i'm not sure it did much.
i'm going to render without radiosity now and see what's different.

the necklace is supposed to be a lost artifact of great power. worn by
timeless age and abuse, recently stolen in an ambush in the grassy hills not
to far from the old plaza where it was soon to be auctioned...

or something to that affect :p

ross.

Very nice! How about making the band that goes around the large pearl out of
gold, just to add a little color and variety to the artifact?
